Peanutbutter Repairs 2009
June 2009 - The floor of the motor well got some "checks" in the plywood, resulting in water collecting against the transom.
Eventually the plywood started leaking into the compartment below. Having experience that standing fresh water in the bottom
of the boat would ruin the transom, thereby ruining the whole thing, I decided it was time to fix it. While I was at it, I fixed a
number of other areas needing attention.

This corner of the transom had never been taped over and was showing a crack. I taped it with 4oz knitted cloth and faired it with epoxy/microballoons.

The floor (sole) is the bottom. It is made of two layers of 1" plywood. The butt joints had never been taped and they were
showing cracks where water could collect, so I sanded and taped them.

The cabin roof was leaking due to numerous checks in the 3/8" plywood. Rather than replace the plywood, I laminated an 8" strip of
4 oz woven cloth with a little bit of filler.
